Owing to a well-balanced chemical composition, which is stable in time and contains no iron the Borsec mineral water has a very pleasant taste. It is one of the most appreciated mineral waters in the world and it is exported to several countries like the U.S.A., South Africa, Sweden, Spain, the Lebanon, Israel, Greece, Jordan ans.

Owing to its exceptional quality the Borsec mineral water won several medals and diplomas at the international Fairs and Exhibitions from Vienna, Berlin, Triest and Budapest and it was awarded the honoring title "Queen of the Mineral Waters" by Emperor Franz Josef. In the same context of the international recognition, Romaqua Group SA is the only romanian bottler member of the Organisation Mondiale de la Propriete Intelectuelle.

Therewith, on the occasion of " Spring of Life " Mineral Water Manifestation organized by UGIR 1999 and 2000 editions, Borsec mineral water was awarded with Diploma of Honor, the " Golden Brand " medal for the best naturally sparkling mineral water and for excellency in romanian industry. At the 2001 edition of the same manifestation organized by UGIR, Romaqua was awarded with "Golden Brand" for the naturally sparkling mineral water "Borsec" and " Platinum Brand " for excellency in romanian industry and tradition. Also, the company was awarded for excellency in the product quality supervision - 2000- by the National Center for Testing and Expertising of the Products (LAREX).

In June 2001, the Accreditation Association from Romania (RENAR) gave Romaqua an accreditation certificate, with European recognition, for the competence of the company's laboratories for performing testes in the mineral water field, according with the actual standards and procedures.
